I'm sort of new to this blog stuff, but, I will give it a try! At the last meeting, the club voted...Milton (Slim) Jensen in as an Honorary Life Member! A little history for you...Slim opened a Harley Davidson dealership in Dixon, Il. way back in 1935, with a partner, Del Bohm. He then went on and opened another one in Freeport, IL. in 1938. Slim's son, Jim Jensen, contacted us via our new website. He had mentioned that his father used to be a member way back. He told us that Slim was turning 100 on April 25th this year. Wow..we were impressed that the site had allow him to find us! Jim had stated that Slim has all types of photos from the 30's-50's era.He even has an old RRRMC t-shirt along with other memorabilia! That is awesome. We'd like to welcome Slim back to the club! Hopefully we will have a follow-up with some of his memories of the club.. I think I ought to get the word out about our 2nd Annual Poker Run, too! I don't know if any of you's attended last years, but, it was great! We had live music from Snydley Whiplash. Lead singer, Brian & his wife Monica, camped(well..sorta..they had their nice RV parked next to Kelly & I..) They really know how to rock the place. They will be here again this year too. I'd like to mention that we will have free camping, the live music, beer sales on site, lots of fun, food & great people!!!We are asking for adults only to this event..sorry kids. Grown ups need to cut loose sometime!!! If you haven't been here for this , man, you really ought to be here this year. We are really getting the hang of this and we love it! So mark your calendar, clear out the time to be here September 11th. Should be starting at 11am.. Last year was our first one..we did it as a benefit for our President, Kenny Weber. If you didn't know, a few of us had taken a ride up into

I found out I cannot stop and save on my blog posts!! So let me continue... Back in May of '09, a bunch had headed to Slimy Crud Run in Leland, WI. Coming into town, Kenny's bike hit the gravel and he lost it..He had some pretty hairy injuries and had us all scared..So, he thankfully recovered and we held a benefit for him and called it our 1st Annual Poker Run!!! It was a fantastic time. Thanks to everyone who contributed and who par-took in the festivities!!! We love ya! So...we look forward to seeing all of you from last year & DO bring some friends this year!! We enjoy having the opportunity to meet new friends!!! Okay for now...let me know how I did on my 1st blog entry ever!! Peace & Ride Safe!!! -Pam
